Projects

I am currently CSO of edinburgh based text to speech company Cereproc and I am Royal Society Industrial Fellowship almunus and Honorary Fellow at the School of Informatics, at the University of Edinburgh.

The Royal Society Industry Fellowship project personify (2012-2014) investigated the relationship between expressive speech synthesis and the ability to create a sense of personality and presence in embodied conversational agents.

The Reel Lives EPSRC project (2013-2015) aimed to turn a user's digital footprint into a filmic medium to help a user control, interpret and share their personal data.

The EU Project (2014-2017) explored the artificial retrieval for information assistants - Virtual agents with linguistic understanding, social skills, and personalised Aspects.

The EU Project Grassroot Wavelengths (2018-2020) is piloting solutions for community information platforms and media pluralism.
